Senior Van Service Advisor - Longbenton/Team Valley

We are recruiting for a Senior Van Service Advisor to join the busy team at our Longbenton/Team Valley depot.

The role involves maintaining the smooth and efficient running of the service department. Applicants must be able to manage and control the site's van customer base, manage the schedule, liaise with customers for bookings and general support ensuring they receive the best possible service levels. 
The ideal candidate will display excellent customer service skills and a sales minded attitude; and have the energy and drive to achieve the company’s objectives, as well as be a team player. Experience in motor trade in a similar role, extensive knowledge of Service Department and IT skills are essential. Kerridge experience is desirable.

 

Key duties:

  • Supervisory responsibilities of all front of house staff
  • WIP report
  • Process adherence
  • Book work into work shop and maintain a steady flow.
  • Organising customer bookings and loading workshop.
  • Communication with clients about vehicle problems, insurance questions, and warranty issues.
  • Deal with customer queries about services, including when to expect vehicle repairs.
  • Display extensive knowledge about products and services and of the service department.
  • Ensures customer vehicle is finished on time and details for customer services rendered and costs for those services, ensuring satisfaction at every step of interaction.
  • Use multiple methods of customer communication, including online bookings, phone calls, and in person interaction to schedule and book appointments, vehicle drop offs, and vehicle pick ups.
  • Liaise with aftersales technicians about vehicle status and parts ordering to ensure that vehicles will be ready for customer on time.
  • Act as an advocate for clients when communicating vehicle problems and needs to repair department.
  • Process customer payments.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am - 3.30pm/ 9am - 6pm shift alternate, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays: 7.00am - 12pm. A set shift pattern may also be considered for this role.
