Technical Specialist - Longbenton/Team Valley
A rare opportunity has arisen and we are recruiting for a Technical Specialist to join our busy and vibrant team at our Longbenton depot.
You will be expected to liaise with technicians with an adequate supply of information to ensure the present and future profitability of the organisation and to highlight any forthcoming issues. You will also be liaising with Workshop Managers and Service Managers within the company to ensure good communication.
To ensure that all paperwork associated with the department is completed correctly and passed to the correct department on time. You will report to Senior Management and attend Group Technical Specialist meetings as and when appropriate.
Attend company/MB training courses and technical and customer events as and when required. You will also be talking to the MBUK Technical Department on outstanding issues. Take responsibility for all major technical issues and repeat failures within the workshops in conjunction with Group Service Manager.
You will also assist all front-line staff with customer technical issues and attend monthly team meetings with all technical staff to discuss new developments and implementation of best practice.
Review, agree and implement training programs for all Aftersales personnel, including booking training with Mercedes-Benz. You will also be expected to induct all new technicians into the business, following the companies induction process and support all technicians in their constant development both in the workshop and through the Mercedes-Benz training program
